Thanks Samsung Fun Club!

--For the goodies pack.

I've won nothing from Samsung Innov8 Run but friendships and lotz of fun.

It was really really really really really fun!

Let's check out the sailing notes for that day:

8.00am - I missed the first alarm at 7am. Thanks to my every-day phone-alarm.

8.30am - Out from USJ. Get a sms from Kelvin on the way to Jln 222: Hi! Where are you? Still sleeping?

9.00am - Reach Samsung Service Centre on time. Briefing + Line-up race: Asphalt Challenge - Play car racing game Asphalt the mobile game, who ever score the shorter finishing time get to start the treasure hunt first.

P/S: We played the mobile game with the phone plugged into a Samsung LCD TV, it is daman cool although there was actually some minor lagging. But honestly, from my experience on mobile game, I belive the problem is with the game itself.

12.00pm - Took group photo and started the Car Treasure Hunt.

P/S: We were Team No.14, 3rd place on the line. Thanks to Hon Mun's race result@38.5".

12.15pm - Reach the first point: WISMA KAAUM.

P/S: It's just opposite Hospital Tun Hussein Onn at Jalan Utara. It's still in my range of road knowledge so we found it easily.

12.30pm - Stucked at WISMA KAAUM as we can't decode the crypto.

P/S: I was hinted before we start the hunt that the crypto should be solved with substitution method. At the end I found that... That's a trap! I was actually confused by the guy... Arrrgh!

12.45pm - Finally found the check point at Astaka field.

P/S: Although I still don't know which point of the crypto points to the field.

1.00pm - Again, the hint, that they called it Tulip, can be easily figured out, it's the McD opposite Jaya33. There is only 1 Jaya33 in PJ, which is Section 14.

1.15pm - The task was to find the answers on the name of the shops among the row of shops in front of Digital Mall Section 14.

P/S: Thanks Google, Thanks Wikipedia. You are my teacher and even my main source for thesis since I was in UTAR. Still being my best guide in Innov8 Run.

1.30pm - Failed to figure out all answers, we decided to move on. The tulips lead us to Jalan 13/4, car stopped in front of Nissan and F&N building.

P/S: The tulip says 1.0KM from the turn that's why we stopped in front of Nissan, but actually the answer was at somewhere else. What to do? We didn't know it was suppose to be among the 1.0KM, guess that was because none of us really pay attention during the briefing.

2.00pm - Decided to move on. Next point is centre of KL, we knew the traffic is not going to be smooth. Destination: WISMA SIME Darby@Jalan Sultan Ismail.

P/S: We moved on because we didn't want to miss the 2.30 closing time for the KL Tower point, but we still late because we went Jalan Sultan Ismail for the Billboard snapping.

2.30pm - Snapped the Samsung OMNIA Billboard at Jalan Sultan Ismail.


P/S: Innov8 Run.... Why snap OMNIA Billboard har?

3.00pm - Reach KL Tower. The task is to play Flying Fox and shoot a video with the Innov8 Phone. Lunch was provided at this location.

P/S: LUNCH! That's was my main motivation to get there instead of the Treasure Hunt because that's my first meal of the day. Flying Fox was really fun, I think we failed to be creative in the video shooting because of hungry and lack of time.

3.30pm - Not the best time for a relaxing Hi-Tea, we moved on to the next task--Billboard snapping. The clue points to Sg.Wang and some place with "bargain and bustling". We guessed Petaling Street.

P/S: First time ever in my life... I saw the traffic jam and still bravely make a U-Turn into the line... I was thinking... was that really me? M-E ME? Who hated traffic jam that that MUCH?

4.30pm - Finally spotted a bus stand with Samsung Advertisement in opposite Berjaya Timesquare.


Hello OMNIA!

P/S: We went through Jalan Alor, passed by the HICKS Clinic shown in the blog mob hint, went back to petaling street once and turned back to sg.wang... Then figured out that... There's no Samsung Billboard along the way at all...

5.00pm - Reach Petaling Street McD, hawkers started to pull out their racks, we knew it is going to be real tough job to spot shop names. Besides shop name task, there were also Speed SMS Challenge, Longan Drinking Challenge and Shopping Challenge at Petaling Street. We were the 2nd last team that did the Longan Drinking Challenge but because we're daman thirsty already, all 3 of us finished the Longan drinks within 10 seconds, we were the fastest. *Applause

P/S: Wikipedia and my six-sense helped a lot in the shop name spotting part. I was only focus on that part as Kelvin and Hon Mun did the SMS and Shopping part.

6.15pm - Innov8 phone hanging on my neck rang when we're walking back to the car. They thought we're lost. *wakaka

P/S: At the moment, we knew we are going to be the last team already. We've wasted super-lots of time finding the Billboard... no, bus stand in front of Timesquare.

6.30pm - Reach Batu Caves, really late... no more task going on there...

P/S: No more... no more points for us... no match... no free phones...*/cry

6.45pm - Reach Sakura Restaurant at Wangsa Maju.

P/S: Arrived with grand applause from all the participants. I don't care it was sarcastic or supportive to sportmanship, but I was happy to see DINNER there and finally the long day has ended.

7.00pm - Dinner, experience sharing, prize giving, lucky draw, chit-chatting, event end.

P/S: Successful event I'd say. Now waiting for photos from Kelvin.
